Cheerleading

The 5A Cheerleading Team for the Far Northeast Warriors has a storied tradition of being competitive at the State/National level. Traditionally, our squad is determined the Spring prior to the following school year so that our Cheer Student-Athletes can prepare for Fall. We are currently holding voluntary workouts and preparing for the upcoming season!

We continue to offer and build our Drumline Program, which has been one of the mainstays on our campus and in our community through the years.  Our Drumline performs at our athletic events, as well as at events throughout the community.  Come try something new and exciting!  Join our Drumline!!!

Fall Sports

Football

The Football program for the Far Northeast Warriors competes under the 5A CHSAA classification with 2 levels: Varsity and C Team. We work hard in the offseason and are currently holding voluntary workouts, so get involved now! Traditionally, 5A Football is allocated 10 Varsity games per season, with first-round State playoffs commencing in November. This year, we will play 7 games at minimum for both levels, with the CHSAA modified schedule.  Home Varsity games are held at Evie Dennis Stadium and Home C Team games as well as all practices are held on our practice field located in the rear of the Montbello campus.

Boy’s Soccer

Boy’s Soccer has 2 levels of 5A Teams: Varsity and C Team. This program is open to every student and skill level.  Varsity traditionally is competitive in all 15 games throughout the regular season against league and non-league Teams. This year, we will compete in 10 league games at minimum for both levels, with the CHSAA modified schedule.  Players stay active during the off season with clubs and kick arounds. Voluntary workouts will begin Monday, October 26th.

Softball

Girl’s Softball offers a competitive, committed environment where our girls work hard and have fun!  We just completed our first season with our new Head Coach and competed in all 16 allowable games with the CHSAA modified schedule.  We were one of the few teams in our League to boast a J.V. squad.  We will begin to sharpen our skills and build/develop in the offseason and prepare to hit the ground running next season!

Girl’s Volleyball

The Far Northeast Girl’s Volleyball program has three different levels – Varsity, J.V. and C-Team.  There are traditionally 23 Varsity games throughout the season and 19 for lower-level games, but this year we will play 16 Varsity and lower level games at minimum, with the CHSAA modified schedule. We have a new Head Coach and staff and are excited to welcome all to become part of our program!

Boy’s Basketball

Boy’s Basketball has a very proud tradition here in the Far Northeast.  Our program competes against other 5A non-league and DPS schools with Varsity & J.V. participating in Tournaments. Traditionally, per CHSAA calendar, regular season runs from November to February with allocations for 23 Varsity games and 19 lower level games. State Finals conclude in March and the season typically starts with Tournament play.  This year, our Varsity will compete in 14 games, minimum, while our lower levels (J.V. and C-Team) will compete in at least 12 games, with the CHSAA modified schedule.

The Girl’s Basketball program for the Far Northeast Warriors currently has a Varsity Team.  We are looking to expand and also offer a J.V. and C Team.  Traditionally, per CHSAA calendar, regular season runs from November to February with allocations for 23 Varsity games and 19 lower level games. Wrestling (Boy’s & Girl’s)

Boys and girls are encouraged to participate on this team – get out and try something stimulating and challenging! We practice in our auxiliary gym on the Montbello Campus and hold our Home Dual and Triangular Meets as well as Tournaments in our main gym.  Our program has recently produced Student-Athletes that go on to compete at Regionals and even State competition at the Pepsi Center!

Baseball

Our traditional Baseball season at the Far Northeast fields 23 varsity games, and 2 levels of play, Varsity and J.V. This year, we will compete in 16 Varsity and J.V. games at minimum, with the CHSAA modified schedule.  Traditionally, the regular season begins in late February but this year, the season will start on April 26th.  We also provide guidance and information in regards to Fall and Summer Teams for incoming Freshman and current Student-Athletes.

Track and Field (Boy’s & Girl’s)

The Track and Field Program for the Far Northeast offers our Student-Athletes the opportunity to showcase their athletic ability.  Track Meets are held at DPS All-City Stadium in Denver. Come be a part of the Team, compete and strengthen fundamental skills needed for all other sports!
